Azienda Tezza Corte Majoli Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2019
Tezza’s Corte Majoli offers powerful yet soft attractive ripe berries on the nose with hint of espresso and spice, lovely balance of sweet cherries, minerals, herbs and figs
Cousins Flavio, Vanio and Federico are the third generation to have farmed in the valley of Valpantena, north of Verona, their wines will be certified Organic from the 2018 vintage. Their new winery boasts state of the art fermentation tanks and boasts a new drying hall with controlled temperature and humidity levels that ensure ideal conditions for drying the grapes destined for use in Amarone and the old family cellars are used for aging the wines in barrel. Tezza’s Corte Majoli is a blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 10% Corvinone coming from two separate vineyards. The grapes are air dried at 18°C and 70% humidity for two –three months before being crushed and fermented, two years aging in barell and a further 6 months in bottle before release. With powerful yet soft attractive ripe berries on the nose with hint of espresso and spice, lovely balance of sweet cherries, minerals, herbs and figs opens out beautifully with air.
