The early-maturing Doral Grape is unique to Switzerland, a cross between Chasselas and Chardonnay, which interestingly has the characteristics of neither grape, created in a joint venture between the Cave de la Côte and the Institut de recherches en agronomie de Changins.
An exotic floral nose with fresh palate with hint of apricots and citrus with mineral freshness this is unique and interesting.
Created in 1929 the Cave de la Côte is the most important co-operative in the La Côte Appellation the biggest wine-growing region in the canton of Vaud lying between the mountains and northern edge of Lake Geneva. Drawing from 1,800 plots of various sizes and 300 growers extending over 450 hectares. The winemaking is overseen by Chilean Oenologist Rodrigo Banto who has totally revitalized the production since he arrived in 2003.
