This excellent fifth generation family owned House based in the Premier Cru village Vertus in the Côtes de Blancs. The Veuve Fourny Rosé Brut 1er Cru NV comes mostly from Vertus and is a blend Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from three consecutive vintages all fermented in a mix of tank and small oak casks with 7 months on their lees, with minimal use of Sulphur, before blending with some still Pinot noir for colour before fermentation in bottle and a further 3 years aging before disgorgement and a low dosage of 6 g/l makes them dry and very fresh. These are beautiful complex, lively and fresh wines with lots of depth and should not be missed.
