Domaine Florent and Damien Burle Burle Est-Ce Que? 2022 IGP Vaucluse
The juicy, dark fruited Burle Est Ce Que? with perky herbal, spicy, tannins comes from declassified Grenache and Syrah with some Marselan and Caladoc The addition of the latter two grapes means it can only have the lowly IGP appellation. Meaning a juicy price too!
Fourth generation Vignerons Florent and Damien Burle took over the family estate in Gigondas in 2004 after their fathers’ untimely death at only 66. Florent looks after the vines farming organically but not certified and Damien the winemaking and marketing. The juicy, dark fruited Burle Est Ce Que? with perky herbal, spicy, tannins comes from declassified Grenache 50% and Syrah 10% with some Marselan 20%, a cross between Grenache and Cabernet and Caladoc 20% a cross between Grenache and Malbec; the wine is fermented and aged in concrete tanks to preserve the freshness. The addition of the latter two grapes means it can only have the lowly IGP appellation. Meaning a juicy price too!
