Domaine Pinchinat Sainte Victoire Rosé 2019 Côtes de Provence
The Syrah here gives a little more colour and a fuller mouthfeel with all the classic mineral freshness you would expect from a top Provence Rosé
The 75 acre Domaine Pinchinat is situated just below Mont Sainte Victoire in the Var sub-region of Provence. This beautiful setting captivated Paul Cézanne to such an extent that he painted it over 30 times.
The estate has been in the same family for 200 years and is now run by Alain de Welle who has farmed organically here since 1990. Alain uses a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mouvedre which are planted on a mix of clay, limestone and gravel at 280m above sea level. No chemicals are used here only natural treatments such as copper and sulphur.
The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel to keep the attractive red fruits and fresh minerality and acidity. The Syrah here gives a little more colour and a fuller mouthfeel with all the classic mineral freshness you would expect from a top Provence Rosé
