Givry 1er Cru La Servoisine 2017 Domaine Joblot
Domaine Joblot has long been recognized as one of the best addresses in Givry, renowned for their powerful age worthy wines
Domaine Joblot has long been recognized as one of the best addresses in Givry, renowned for their powerful age worthy wines. The Domaine is now run by Juliette Joblot, her 13.5-hectare vineyard, 9 of which is Premier Cru, is farmed sustainably with low yield due to severe green pruning and careful selection in the vineyard. The Vines in the Premier Cru vineyard of La Servoisine are 35 years old and planted on rock clay and limestone. The grapes are destemmed and fermented with their natural yeast in tank with plenty of punching down of the skins for colour and extraction before spending year in 70% new oak 30% 1yr old barrels. Deep dark and enticing on the nose this is a beauty, starting to drink now but will keep very well, witness a delicious bottle of the 2009 opened recently.
