We are longstanding fans of Alberto Arizu’s Luigi Bosca wines and this single vineyard example from the Mendoza’s DOC of Luyan de Cuyo is one of its stars. This hails from old vine parcels of Luigi Bosca's Finca La Linda Vineyard located in Vistalba. Situated at 960 meters above sea level with crumbly clay and loam soils; the Malbec vines here have an average age of 70 years so the resulting wine offers plenty of dark berried aromatics and plenty of weight. After hand picking the bunches are destemmend and sorted before being macerated for 3-5 days then fermented in stainless steel tanks, the wine is then passed into new French oak barrels where it spends between 12-14 months then a further 6 months in bottle before release.
