Perez Cruz Limited Edition Carmenere 2018
This really good Carmenere comes from lower yielding blocks producing more intense fruit with a splash of Cabernet; ages for 14 months in 50% new French oak casks; Vibrant ripe black fruits combine with earthy Mulberry hints, nuts and herbs, elegant and complex on the palate with supple tannins.
The Liguai estate, source of all the Pérez Cruz wines is located south of Santiago in the Maipo Valley’s Maipo-Andes sub region. Here the vines are planted in geo mapped blocks at an altitude of 1,450-1,700 feet nestled against the foothills of the Andes.
