This lovely Saint-Véran is my current favourite amongst Franz Chagnoleau’s stunning range of 2018’s, from parcels of high lying organic vines on thin rocky soil
This lovely Saint-Véran is my current favourite amongst Franz Chagnoleau’s stunning range of 2018’s, from parcels of high lying organic vines on thin rocky soil, fermented in old oak with natural yeasts; shut your eyes you could think you were drinking a Puligny, just lovely and worth every penny.
This exciting new domaine was started in 2010 by Franz Chagnoleau and his wife Caroline Gon who met studying Oenology in Bordeaux; he went on to be cellar manager at Domaine Olivier Merlin and she worked at Newton Vineyard in California and now runs Dominic Lafon’s winery in Mâcon.
