Seigneur de Grezette Malbec 2016 Cahors
This attractive unoaked Malbec from the young vines at the famous Chateau Lagrezette in Cahors
This delicious unoaked Malbec comes from the famous 500 year old Cahors estate of Chateau Lagrezette. Many of you will have enjoyed it under it's previous label Purple Malbec. This is the same wine from the same vintage. This comes from their younger vines averaging 15 years old. The famous French Consultant Michel Rolland has started to have a real influence here, implementing a 5 day cold maceration before fermentation to accentuate colour and fruit but not tannin and this juicy unoaked example is one of the new products of this regime. With a vibrant colour in the glass and soft tannins and bright juicy black fruits with a hint of white pepper, very attractive and will keep a bit too.
